I hope you can help me out. Is it possible to filter the accommodation overview by categories or tabs? Like you can do in a webshop? It would be extremely user-friendly if you can filter the accommodations by, for instance, the amount of persons or location/area.
1. I have a house that is suitable as wedding place AND is a luxury bungalow. Those are 2 different categories. Is it possible to show the house in both categories?
2. I have houses that are suitable for 2, 4, 8, 16 or 30 people. It would be great if you can filter the overview of accommodations/houses by amount of people.
1. Yes. You can assign accommodation tags to your house when you create the accommodation. You would then assign \"wedding\" and \"luxury\" to the accommodation.
You then create two separate pages using the \"Accommodation list\" template and when you publish the page meta box filters will appear in the bottom of the page where you can select filters. Select wedding for one page and luxury for the other and the lists will show different things.
2. The second idea is a nice one we will add this to our todo list for our big upgrade coming up later this year.
You then create two separate pages using the \"Accommodation list\" template and when you publish the page meta box filters will appear in the bottom of the page where you can select filters. Select wedding for one page and luxury for the other and the lists will show different things.
Can you help me out how to let the meta box filters appear in the bottom of the page? I don\'t understand how to do that.
Create a new page and assign it the template Accommodation list. Once you click Publish, WordPress will know you are using this template and will then show the metaboxes below the content of the page (still in the page admin editor)
What I mean is that you then create a page like yourdomain.com/luxury-accommodations (using Accommodation list template with luxury selected from the tag filter) and a page mlike yourdomain.com/wedding-accommodations (using Accommodation list template and wedding selected from the tag filter).
Then on the luxury-accommodations page the luxury accommodations will be shown and on the wedding-accommodations page the wedding accommodations will be shown.
You can then link to these from the sidebar or from other content etc.
I am still unclear as to why you need the sidebar? The question was this:
1. I have a house that is suitable as wedding place AND is a luxury bungalow. Those are 2 different categories. Is it possible to show the house in both categories?
With my instructions you will show the house in both lists of accommodation (on separate pages).

Hi,
Are you referring to functionality for the backend or front-end?
Thanks

Hi,
The front-end.
For example.

I\'ve made a new page:
http://dewijngaard.info/dwgl/de-wijngaard-huizen/
Ah, wait. So on the front-end you don\'t see buttons or tags. It\'s at the back-end. I understand.
So if I want tag-buttons on the front-end I have to edit it myself on the page. Is that correct?
What I mean is that you then create a page like yourdomain.com/luxury-accommodations (using Accommodation list template with luxury selected from the tag filter) and a page mlike yourdomain.com/wedding-accommodations (using Accommodation list template and wedding selected from the tag filter).

You can then link to these from the sidebar or from other content etc.

Ok, I understand.
So, then I need a sidebar only used for the luxury-accommodations page and wedding-accommodations page. How do I do that?
